Argyle BIA is committed to making improvements to the East London area to create safe and attractive retail areas that help our members succeed. Our organization continues to think of new ways that we can improve the Argyle area for your enjoyment. Check out some of our past and ongoing projects below and feel free to contact us with your suggestions!

Flower Baskets

Come summertime in the Argyle BIA, Dundas street with is lined with lush flower baskets. The goal of the flower baskets is to beautify the streetscape of the area for summer shopper’s pleasure.

Teal Crosswalks

Teal is the official colour of our BIA; the colour symbolizes the sense of community that the BIA aims to foster within the Argyle area. The crosswalks were painted at the BIA boundaries, along with Clarke and Dundas to create a gateway presence for the Argyle business area.

Street Banners

The banner program creates awareness of the Argyle BIA for both shoppers in the area and those driving down Dundas street. In addition to the awareness generated the banners further enhance the appearance of Dundas street.

BIA Slogan Signs

The slogan of the Argyle BIA lines the north side of Dundas Street as cars and pedestrians approach the intersection of Clarke and Dundas. Our slogan, Park Free, Eat well, and Shop Local is a minimalist description of the many benefits of choosing to shop in the Argyle Business area.

Argyle Pole Wraps

The Argyle BIA is currently in the process of implementing the second phase of streetscape updates to enhance the gateway presence to our area. In addition to the teal crosswalks, the BIA hopes to put in place teal-coloured pole wraps. The pole wraps are to be located at the intersections of Dundas and Wavell along with Dundas and Highbury to signify the boundaries of our business area.

Holiday Decorations

When the snow begins to fall, the Argyle BIA is filled with holiday spirit. To curate this holiday joy on the street, the BIA lines Dundas street with festive holiday trees mounted on the light posts for all to enjoy.
